Some Great Holidays

Hey Everybody:

Well the holidays are over, and I am finally gotten over them. First of all, let me say ALL THE BEST TO ALL OF YOU IN 2012. As for my holidays, they were extremely busy. Christmas Eve started at home, with my immediate family, which has been a family tradition for years. After my brother left, me & my mother headed out to my cousins place. We had a very enjoyable time with her and my other cousins. We came home the night of the 25’th. Then I got the opportunity to spend time with a very close friend and her family on the Dec. 29’th. You might say I got to hang with a couple of really cool cats…hahahahaha. Then on the 30’th I had a lot of snow to manage, as I had to be on the grey hound headed to Schriber, to visit another friend and her family for New Years. So I spent a few days there. Came home on Jan. 2. So as you can tell, I had some pretty full holidays. They were the greatest I ever had. Smile Any way, enjoy the days ahead and I will be back in music video action soon. Smile And so here is one to tide you over. Keep Bloggin…

Got the tree and train going on

Hey Everybody:

Well we got our tree up and our Christmas train going. Still have the village to set up though. But it is only the 14’th, so it is no big deal. Things are going really well since I last talked to you guys. The weight is going down, and I am really feeling great. My blood sugars are under control and I love it. I am truly loving life once again….YAY. Believe it or not, we have very little snow for this time of year. In some ways I am happy that I don’t have to shovel, however…who has ever dreamt of a brown Christmas? All the shopping is done. and I have run out of money. If I only had another hundred or so a month, that would rock, but you work with what you got right. So yeah as 2011 slowly comes to an end, this year was a true rollercoaster. It was not a STELLAR year for me as most of you know, but at least it is ending on a good note. Any way, I will be back some time before Christmas, just wanted to show you guys the new video. Enjoy….Keep Bloggin’

That time again

Hey Everybody:

We are once again coming up to the second week of November. There may not be too many left that remember the WW2, but we shall never forget their efforts. Reflecting upon the last year, I had a thought. Yes we remember the men and women in the battles in Europe, but what about people like my grandmother, who was NOT in the war effort, but had the love of her life running around on a motor cycle as a lookout for the Canadian forces. Loosing her earlier this year, we lost a TONNE of history, and the lady I inherited my trademarked compassionate heart. But I am not just talking about her. I am talking about the others as well. Who had their loved ones over seas, while they ran the home back here. No they were not putting their lives on the line, but they still had the presence of mind and great hearts to let the ones that did fight go. The stories they could all tell, could fill a million books. Or what about those who never got to see their loved ones again. Please, as you are remembering those who died in war, also remember those who survived. And really when you think about it, none of US would be here now, if they didn’t. Now the video you have become accustomed to in my blog posts. It has been around for quite a while. But really it only gets played around this time of year. On Nov. 11 1999, a singer/songwriter Terry Kelley, was walking through a Shoppers Drug Mart. At 11:55 am, an announcement came over the intercom. Asking for any customers in the store at 11:00 to give 2 minutes of silence for all the veterans. As the story goes…(not confirmed mind you) after he left the store he went home and wrote the song that would become a staple in remembrance day music in Canada. It is called “a pittance of time”. Get the Kleenex for this one. Any way, enjoy….Keep Bloggin’

A funny moment from today.

Hey Everybody:

Today my cousin and his wife christened their daughter. I had my tablet with me, and recorded the following video. A classic “youtube” moment…haha. I will not ruin it for you, but it is very funny. Such a great day hanging out with the family and playing with the young ones. Also a great day for my cousin and his family. All in all a great day all around. Any way, here is the video. Enjoy…Keep Bloggin’

A lesson from today

Hey Everybody:

Well, a lot has happened since my last post. Best not to go into the details. Today was an AWESOME day. It was one of those days when I felt God was DRAGGING me to get to church. It was my first time at Redwood Park Church since March. Any way, Pastor Doug was speaking on how to go from a fan of Christ to a follower of Christ. I have been a fan of Christ for many years, but as a follower, I have been in & out of my relationship with Christ for quite some time. To be a fan, you know of Christ’s teachings. To be a follower, means to give Christ your mind, soul, body, & strength. In other words EVERYTHING. What I found intriguing was his relationship analogy. As adults, we have all gone through the relationship process. Some good experiences, and of course some bad. We have all met a few we thought would work, most have found the ONE that has. To follow Christ is to look at getting into a serious relationship with him. To follow him with everything we have. This truly made a ton of scents to me. To be a follower of Christ is to essentially be married to him and his values and teachings. I am really wrestling with this right now. Figuring out what it all means to me, and how to best implement it into my life. It was a very cool message though, and one I really think I needed to hear. Now I feel I know the next step in my relationship with Christ. Smile

I also wanted to share with you one of the songs from this morning. Probably going to be my next percussion remix as well. Lately it has been in my brain, and it is a very cool song. Here is Hillsong United’s “Hosanna”. Enjoy…Keep Bloggin’

Mighty To Save

Hey Everybody:

Thanks for sticking around. It’s been quite a while since I posted anything here. It’s been even longer since I put up a new video. But tonight, I decided it was time to get back into the things I love to do. The video you are about to see is a percussion remix for Hillsong United’s “mighty to save”, as it is my favourite song EVER. Also for those of you who miss it, there is EXTREME passion thrown in as well. To be honest with you, I missed being who I really am. I am a little out of practice mind you as I have not even TOUCHED my djembe since just before Christmas. So the fastest hands in the city are a little slow these days…hehehe. I imagine though that it is not really a big deal. I will get better again I promise you that…hehehe. Any way, here it is. Hot off the presses. Scoot’s Percussion remix of mighty to save. Enjoy…Keep Bloggin’
